CGPAtoGPA.net is a free, no-login utility tool built for students in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka who are applying to universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of students in these countries face the same problem: their academic transcripts use a 10-point CGPA scale, while US university applications ask for a GPA on a 4.0 scale. Converting between the two is simple in theory but confusing in practice — different universities use slightly different formulas, credential evaluators like WES have their own rubrics, and there is no single authoritative source students can trust.
We built this tool to solve that problem cleanly and for free — no sign-up, no ads before you get your answer, no paywall.
The most widely accepted formula is: GPA = (CGPA ÷ Scale) × 4. This is consistent with the methodology used by World Education Services (WES) and is accepted as a reasonable approximation by most US graduate schools. However, individual universities may apply their own conversion tables — always verify with your target institution's admissions office.
